Khalid Bin Al Waleed Street is one of the most important roads in the city. It is best known by its old colonial name “the Bank Street.” However, it also has a newer nickname of Computer Street as it is now associated with modernity and innovation – numerous computer shops are situated here.

Where to Find the Bank Street in Dubai, the UAE?

The Bank Street is located in one of the oldest districts of Dubai – Bur Dubai, not far from BurJuman shopping mall, one of the most popular shopping destinations among tourists. It is one of the liveliest places in Dubai with a plethora of hotels, apartments, restaurants shopping centers, markets and historical attractions such as the Heritage Village, the Diving Village and Historical Museum Dubai. Besides, it is home to several diplomatic missions and the biggest mosques of the city including the Grand Mosques and the only Hindu temple in the state. It is also a popular residential area.

How to get to Dubai’s Bank Street?

To get to Dubai’s Bank Street you need to get off at Khalid Bin Al Waleed Metro Station. There is access to both the Red and the Green line here – it is a transfer point between the Red and the Green lines. The metro station you need is called Al Fahidi. See the picture below.

Al Fahidi is one of the oldest and most beautiful areas of the city so don’t spare yourself a walk around this district. You’ll definitely enjoy the variety of museums and galleries and ancient architecture built by rich merchants hundreds of years ago.

If you are going here straight from the airport, get on at the station Dubai Airport Free Zone (13) which goes to Al Fahidi (25) as shown in the picture.
